Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees to build the honeycomb inside their hives. When the wax is first formed it appears nearly white, gradually taking on a golden hue as it interacts with pollen and natural oils collected by the bees.
It takes roughly ten pounds of honey to produce one pound of beeswax, marking it a remarkably precious natural material.
The beeswax we use begins as raw wax collected from honeycomb. It is then carefully filtered to remove natural debris and gently refined to create a clean white appearance while preserving the wax's natural character and subtle honey aroma.
We use beeswax in pearl form, which allows it to melt evenly and blend smoothly with other ingredients.
Beeswax has been used in candle making for centuries because of its naturally superior performance.
Beeswax candles are known for having a long, slow burn, minimal smoke or soot, and little to no wax dripping. These qualities help create a candle that burns cleanly while lasting longer.
The beeswax used in our candles is Oregon Tilth certified organic.
Oregon Tilth is a nonprofit organization that verifies organic agricultural practices under the USDA National Organic Program.
This certification ensures that the beeswax was produced and processed according to strict environmental and purity standards, including:
These standards help support both ecological health and ingredient transparency.
Our organic beeswax forms the foundation of every candle we create, blended with organic coconut oil to produce a smooth, clean-burning wax base.
